Well I figured I'd kick things off by doing an expo journal. It'd be something I could write about at least XD

Friday

So yeah. We set off at 11:30am to head down to Birmingham to pick up
The group consisted of myself, and manimator's brother (who doesn't have a DA to my knowledge).
Fun times driving to Birmingham and then down to London.
We stayed at the Premier Inn and met up with a whole host of people, both old and new friends, and enjoyed drinking the night away (well.....I did.)
I was in role as BLEACH's Kira Izuru, complete with Wabisuke. I met up with an Aizen, Gin, Shuuhei, Ukitake, and Urahara Taichou, and hung around with them a while. I swear I actually have them on my DA but I'm unsure XD
Either way, all were awesome and tolerated me hanging out and drinking with them a while before I was whisked away to have noms in Manimator's room.
It was much more drinking and talking before I went to bed though.

Saturday
------------
Again Kira Izuru was out in full force, enjoying the press he got and enjoying the BLEACH photoshoot at 11. It was raining so the waraji were soaked and the socks got ruined, but nothing I couldn't fix XD
I think the way I'd restyled my wig for Kira was better this time. Made my face look thinner XD
The BLEACH meal in the evening was brilliant (a joke about Kira being on a diet of lettuce was formed amongst others) and everything went well. ^^

Sunday

This time the debut of Akon from Bleach.
I don't have any pics as of yet, but I'm told a few were taken XD
I can;t find any of these...
Oh well XD
Either way, the Bleach shoot was good and the awesome Urahara Taichou joined us for noms and a Squad 12 photoshoot XD
It was sad to see everyone go.
I'm gonna miss everyone who I met there. They were all awesome.

So yeah. That was the expo in a nutshell.

In other news I'm working full time for a year at Dunelm in a bid to get more money XD
And I have a new graphics tablet, so I've been playing with that non stop XD

I've applied to four Universities to do my PGCE, so all I need now are two e-mails and I'm set for the next year.

Things look really good for the future. I'm looking forward in seeing where this goes.

Happy Birthday to me! <3
Twenty Three Today! So happy about it, I wrote a journal about it XD
So yes. Is The Mini One's birthday today. She has already recieved monies with which she will buy much stuffs at the expo with, and a wireless modem XD
I have been told there is more to come, but I am always happy to just get a happy birthday or two instead of a gift XD

The London MCM Expo!

I have prepared and prepared and prepared for this one and things are looking well ^^

We're making BLEACH cookies for anyone who wants one for the picnic on Sunday, so if you want one just let me know or if you've already said you'll have one, just double post so I don't forget anyone!

Also we have a spare room at the Premier Inn for Friday and Saturday until midday on Sunday. It'll be £198 for the weekend for as many as you wanna cram in a room. If anyone wants it or fancies cancelling their own booking in order to come and celebrate three brithdays with us on Friday, then let me know. If not, I'll hafta cancel it by Thursday X_X

Well, it's been a while hasn't it?
I decided to do this journal now because I finally have stuff to talk about and finally have some time to sit down and write stuff. Without further introductions and ado, here we go!

UNIVERSITY

Yes! It's finally over! I passed university with flying colours! I ended up finally with a 2.2 Bachelor's Degree of Fine Arts and English Literature with Honours. Which is brilliant for me considering I was only planning to get a 3rd!!!! So it's a year out for me. I really needed the rest. I was told by friends to take a year out before uni, but no. I had to go and take an extra three years of work onto my shoulders. After that I could have gone on to do a PGCE - the teaching course I need to do - but no...I really need a break. Desperately. After the year out I plan to do the PGCE and then after that I want to do a master's degree in English Literature.

Which leads me to the topic of my year out. In this year out, I decided to set myself some goals that I wish to have completed by the end of it, just so I wasn't being a lazy bum. XD
Here they are:
--Longshott Issue 1 - taken off haitus and finished
--Volunteer at a school - gain more EXP for my PGCE
--Training Routine - healthy eating and living to make myself healthier
--Expo Expo Expo - more cosplays with a higher budget
--Work - More hours at Dunelm Mill so I can get more money
--Holiday Abroad - I haven't taken one in a while. I need a break.
--Regular updates - because I don't do it enough
--Photoshoots - moar cam whoreness

Ah since it's on the topics to cover. In October 2009 for the London Expo I will be whoring myself out with BLEACH. On Saturday I will be manic depressive emo boy Kira Izuru and on Sunday I will be passive agressive chain-smoking scientist Akon from Squad 12. I'll update DA with cosplay progress eventually.

GENERAL

So what have I been doing lately?
Well I finished all my literature books and the likes, reading a lot of sci-fi stuffs from my Sci-fi degree. Amidst much work and the likes I found myself time for BLEACH and several other animes (Gurren Lagaan forthewin), several sketches, and the beginning of me working out.
I've been ill with an infection and been on antibiotics for a week, which sucks, but I think/hope it's all over now.

A few weeks ago, I had much fun with people visiting my house and staying over for two weeks. It was the most fun I've had in ages!! It's great to break routine and just laugh for two weeks.

LONDON MCM EXPO - MAY 2009

Where do I even start with this?

Friday -
Long car journey down to London from Warrington. Two cars with me driving Shera - my Nissan Micra - and driving his mother's unnamed ford focus. In my car was and . In the other car was and an un-Da'd passanger called Lee XD
We had radio walkie talkies to stay in touch throughout the journey. Was very fun and very amusing. Much movie quoting along the way.
When we got to the hotel, I donned my Rufus ShinRa garb and ran around the hotel. We met up with :iconjaks-dwarf-kingdom: and . This ended up being our group for the weekend XD

Saturday -
OH MY GOD! Why did I choose to cosplay Nero the Sable???
The wings took 45 minutes to assemble in the morning (thanks Si and Will) AND I had to walk 15 minutes to the expo with two people behind me supporting them because I couldn't have them outspread on the public footpath!!! But when I got to the expo at 10:00am...oh dear god...so many photos of me, so many people there!!! It was like being famous!!!
I can honestly say, without a shadow of a doubt, that this was the best expo day I have ever had. I met so many wonderful cosplayers and got talking to so many new people! I entered the world record attempt of course and got filmed and interviewed by the guys talking about it! XD
I can't thank everyone enough for their wonderful photos and their newfound friendship! You guys are all awesome. You know who you all are XD

Sunday -
This was supposed to be my day of rest and instead I choose to cosplay the only Szayel Aporro Grantz there XD
So a busy photoshoot centered day really. I went along to the BLEACH photoshoot and met more wonderful people and even made a Mayuri-approved cake for everyone there!!! XD It went down a treat. I even met people who didn't recognise me from the bondaged monstrosity I was previously and complimented me before realising who I was, so I was very ego-stroked on that day XD
Of course I attacked Quincy's. And then they later seek me out on DA to mock me. You know who you are Quincy's! I will have you on my lab table. Oh yes.
Things didn't go well for other peoples, but I leave it to them to tell you of this. I, personally, had a great time and OMG! Mokonas! Aren't they so cute?? I bought the white one for and he bought me the black one XD!!!

So anyone who I haven't mentioned please know you're all awesome, and anyone who I haven't added on DA yet, but managed to seek me out then please tell me!! Any photos of me on either day that I haven't favourited, then please tell me also!!! You are all awesome people and I pray to god that you're at the October Expo!!!

UNIVERSITY

Well kiddies, as of yesterday I am now a graduate of University. I have to wait until the end of June for my results and then I am attending the Nova gallery in Liverpool to give a talk on my work that will be displayed there. I'll be there on Tuesday the 7th of July between the hours of 1pm and 4pm so if anyone fancies it, you can come harrass me and see my gallery work XD (shameless self-promotion)
It's been three years already. An immense three years at that. I've had the usual stresses of University but I've met so many people thanks to it and had so many great times. Two years of rambling about family guy, silent hill, and other such things with Dan. A year of drinking every Tuesday with Tom and Jason. Continual art in-jokes with Christina, Amy, Chloe, Mikaela and Julia (amidst others). Three years of drawing anime in my sketchbook in every English lecture I went to.
It's been one hell of a white knuckle ride.
I take a year out this year and then I once again return to Chester University to apply for my PGCE in order to teach at Secondary schools. So this year will be me doing stuff that I won't be able to do once I'm full time XD

YEAR OUT + COMMISSIONS

So yeah. I decided to really concentrate on getting Longshott fresh and up in this year. A tragedy happened last year which halted the comic coming out. My hard drive used for keeping all my information on it whilst I wiped my PC crashed and took with it 9 years of hard work and internet stuff. Needless to say, the script for Longshott, the coloured pages, and other arts were on it. So I had to go again. Go figure DX.
But now at least I can start again and with that I also open up commissions. I'm not really claiming to be awesome at artwork, but I figure if I put my mind to it I can draw anything for anyone. Also I can do a photo of any of my cosplays for people if they really want one up as a print or anything. XD
I'll say £10 for a full A4 drawing (fully coloured with all the trimmings of course) and £5 for a photo cosplay request. XD Just something to keep the ball rolling. If you're interested, just send me a note with the title 'COMMISSION' in it, and I'll arrange something.
I'm also going to be re-learning my violin this year. It's always been a hobby of mine that I never really had the time to sit down and work hard at, so I figure I could always do with brushing up on it. XD
